ok. if you go to the website www.nuance.com /talks and you will find a
downloads link there along with the talks program and various manuals. The
manual doesn't add much more than people have sent here in terms of text
messages but it does have a description of various phones and other useful
information about using Talks.

remembering them I suppose is a good start!!
Seriously i'm not quite sure what you mean by this one. 1 is punctuation,
2 is a,b,c
3 is D,E,F and so on. there is an explanation of this in the Talks manual
that should explain it. after that, you just need to practice and remember
them.
