The manual doesn't add much more than people have sent here in terms of text messages but it does have a description of various phones and other useful information about using Talks. Seriously i'm not quite sure what you mean by this one. 1 is punctuation, 2 is a,b,c 3 is D,E,F and so on. there is an explanation of this in the Talks manual that should explain it. after that, you just need to practice and remember them.
