Well it all sounds like a big mix up to me and I am now wondering as Yvonne has that dreaded memory full error, if this was a problem to the person who sold the phone in the first instance. I am now wondering why the phone was for sale.

On another note, Yvonne I would be expecting Talks to give you the signal strength and the battery status when you press Talks and soft key 2 as that is standard.

Could it be that the Talks has installed onto the phone memory rather than
the mass memory?

Cheers

Hi,

I'm a little unsure what you mean by the reader saying "phone memory". It
doesn't do this when the phone starts up, and to my knowledge never has.

If you mean the location where the application is installed, you would
have to uninstall the application and then reinstall it. However,
honestly the space saving will not be that noticeable compared to say, if
you were talking about QuickOffice.

As for the difference between versions 4 and 5, 5 supports the mail client
on the N86, and also of course is the first version to support touch
screen phones, which won't of course apply to the N86. V5 ships with
updated vocaliser voices which do sound better and have less
pronounciation errors for the corresponding dialects than the v521
vocaliser voices shipped with Talks versions prior to v5.

For additional information, you may try referring to the release notes for
the v5 release which may well be floating around somewhere.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'm also in the midst of dealing with a
bit of a crisis here myself. However, if there's something
straightforward I can answer for now, I'll be only too glad to help.
Also, an offer I can make you if it's of any help at all, although I'm
sure others on here will have time to help, but if you'd like me to go
over the uninstall and reinstall process in person, I'd be more than happy
for you to call me over the weekend. It's quite straightforward, but I'm
happy to explain it in more detail if you wish. Just making that offer in
case it's of any use.

All the best,

H.

Well not a problem at all. Another way to go to Talks is via the Menu,
then Applications and then Talks but the other way is quicker.

    hi
i know but i just for the life of me could not remember
these things happen when you lose your sight late in life
so used to being fully sighted
so trying to remember all things by using screen readers is difficult
so you will have to bear with me

Go in to Talks by pressing Talks key followed by long press of soft
key one. Then Options by pressing soft key one. Arrow up from the
bottom until you hear About and select that. It will tell you. I
asked you before this past week and you told me you followed my
instructions and looked it up and it was Talks 4.
