Well, I did ask them and they gave me a somewhat confused answer. Oh well, I'll find a way I'm sure. If you have the annual subscription, you should be aware that a new update is being made available which will significantly make adding new locations and points of interest either on the map or not a much simpler service. This will become available along with other services in April so I will reinstall way finder on my phone when this new version is released. The only thing is that way finder can't (or won't) confirm whether this new version is going to work with talks or not. They say wait and see which I think is ridiculous.

Anyway, thanks for your help and take care.

Hi Ibrahim,
I am suggesting how to get your current location entered as a favourite, and it works for me. If you want to ask if this is correct way I suggest you contact Wayfinder via the website.

How do you set a route when you don't have a destination favourite set? In my situation, I wanted to add my local Somerfield supermarket in peterborough to the favourite locations list. Are you telling me that using the add to favourite from map position is not the right thing to do? I was well inside the building and my GPS receiver had full coverage.

Thanks for your help.

HI Ibraham
You must have a route set and be navigating it. When at the location go to favourites and select options and scroll down to 'handle' and select 'add' and enter your description of this location. (courtesy of Steve Nutt)
Remember that GPS is only accurate to 10 Meters, so you may not bee exactly at the front door.

Hope this is what you needed.

Hi Philip.

Sorry if this is off topic but I want help with way finder. As I was saying Philip, I recently tried to add a favourite location using the map view on Way Finder whilst at the location as it is not in their database of points of interest (very few places actually are). Way Finder took me to the right road OK, but did not show me where the door of the place was which was about 25 metres away. Any suggestions or hints?

Thanks, Ibrahim

Hi Peter and all,
I could see this one coming for a while. 'Mini GPS' is a most misleading name as it is not GPS (which stands for Global Positioning Satellite, or perhaps System ) This Mini is a way of tellin which phone cell you are in and seems to be most difficult to set up. As a user of Wayfinder GPS I can't be bothered. Wayfinder is accessible and reasonably easy to use.
