Make an MP3 file, put it on your phone. It will go in music list and you just go to it, open and start playing it, go to options and the first option is to use as ring tone. It can be hard to hear Talks speak while it is playing but that is the first option. Now I note you say you want part of a song, then if y ou have a music editor then you can edit the part of the mp3 file you want. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yvonne Oliver" <yvonne.oliver@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: [talks-uk] recording a ring tone

Hello
I want to record part of a song I like and save it as a ring tone.
I am informed that this can be done using voice recorder
However I am not sure how to record what I want using voice recorder.
I tried to record part of the song using voice recorder but all I got was a
lousy recording and a counting timer in conjunction with the tone
Perhaps there are other ways of recording part of a song and save it to the
gallery
Can someone give me a step guide on how to make a proper recording and save
it to the gallery
Once this is done if I am happy with the recording I can assign it as a ring
tone
Thank you

Yvonne

Hi Carol P and all.
I got it from a company that buys and sells phones and other
electronics. The website is http://uk.webuy.com. I am not going to say
the name but I will spell it instead. You will see why. Smiles. c.e.x.
Take care.

Hello all.
Thank you very much for all the help regarding looking
for a new phone. I have successfully ordered what I
wanted, a Nokia N86, unlocked and in good condition. I
will keep you updated on how things go with it. I am
really looking forward to receiving this phone after
hearing very good things about it both on here and from
friends on and off lists. Thank you once again.
Take care.
