[talks-uk] Re: reading word documents with talks and recording

I know there is the quick office on the 6630 but, on my handset at least, I
only had the word viewer and the Excel viewer.

I did download a trial of quick office and install it. This allowed me to edit
the documents and hence read them with the arrow keys but I could only use this
trial version for 30 days.

Cheers

Hi Graham, just wondering if you mean Quick Word etc? These are in Tools on
the 6630. Or do you mean a diffferent version of simbian office?

Hi all. For starters, does anyone know of any software that can be used for
reading and editing basic word documents on a Nokia 6630?

Quick Office is the only package I have seen and this works with Talks but
costs about £50 I think. This is not bad, but it is quite expensive for a
piece of symbian software. It also includes access to Excel and powerpoint
documents which I am not worried about.

Also I was looking at the bonus programs that come with Talks Premium.
Extended voice recorder may be useful but my phone seems not to let me
record in anything other than Wav which takes up far too much memory. The
instructions say I should be able to switch to the lower quality AMR format
but though I can find the setting, my phone only seems to offer me the one
  wav option.

  Cheers

I know of course that you can just edit and make a simple text file with the
  notes feature.
