Hi,

Just a word of caution when using the 3-key and power button process. This
restores the phone to the condition it was in when it was bought. So, you
may most likely end up losing any personal data that has been saved, i.e.
messages, contacts, theme customisations, display settings, etc.

Just something to bear in mind.

HTH.

Hi Alexander

This is exactly what happened to my N86 phone on Wednesday when I tried to
remove the same voice from it. My husband eventually solved this problem. He
reformatted the phone by pressing the call key, number 3 key, the star key
to the left of the zero and the power key down at once. This is tricky to do
but he did manage to do it. When the phone starts up, set the country, time
and date on the phone, then it if's up and running you can install talks on
it in the usual way.

If anyone else has this problem with an N86 and it's still not up and
running after setting the time and date again, go to applications, office,
file manager, then go down to mass memory, open it, press key 1 and go down
to format mass memory and all should be fine.

My husband is sighted so he could do this but I couldn't have done this
without sighted help.

I hope Carol's phone will soon be working again and that this will help you.

Best wishes

Paula
