Hi Tony I know someone else who has had this problem and it turned out to be dirty contacts between the battery and where the battery connects to the phone. They took theirs to the Vodafone shop and they cleaned it for them and this fixed the problem. Cheers! It was when i was in the states last year and although i was using the correct charger with a voltage converter unit I had to go and buy the u.s. version of the charger for it to work. Wonder if you might have a problem with the charger?
