I have to agree that stereo speakers on such a small device are really little more than a marketting gimic. If you want decent stereo sound then I would want to use headphones. I would agree certainly that it would be a mistake to consider the stereo separation from the speakers on the phone as being a major factor when considering the pros and conns of any particuloar phone. For me the major issues would be compatibility with Talks, usability and durability of phone, battery life, and if you are interested in playing music then sound is important but it is the sound through headphones that really matters. a 3.5 MM stereo jack is ideal here. Usability of the keypad is also clearly important. The N95 also has the disadvantage of being a slide phone, thus more susceptible to damage and wear and tare effects over time. I agree though about the music through the loud speakers, but being blunt, if you're buying a phone as a substitute for a HiFi or Stereo system there's something wrong! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Barbara Wilson Sent: 14 November 2008 19:14 To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [talks-uk] Re: n82 I have owned an N82, though not an N95 but I have had a play with one. I think the N82 feels cheap and plasticy in comparison to the N95. And the sound of music on the N95 was better. N95 is excellent though others would say the N82. I wondered if by any chance talks was known to be a problem with this phone or if ive just been unlucky. The first few phones wouldnt send text messages now the latest replacement wont forward a message.
