Off topic of course, but just to reply to your message. I have trained several people using JAWS who had already been trained by the RNIB and the level of training received is way below the standard I set for myself Too much of a coincidence in my opinion, but maybe I'm just bias towards the poor old RNIB.

Hi Barbara,

Not wishing to defend the RNIB in any way, but isn't that the trainer
herself that is at fault perhaps? OK, the RNIB should have kicked her sorry
ass, as it were, but I would have thought that was an individual thing. I
could employ someone, who never turned up. OK, if I didn't chase it up, it
is my fault as a company, but I am not sure that is entirely RNIB's fault.

Anyway, this is really off topic for Talks, RNIB bashing, I would have
thought.

All the best

I will tell you one story and then I promose no more bagging the RNIB!

I know someone in N.I. who was receiving some JAWS training from RNIB. For
several months the trainer just didn't show up on the days she was supposed
to. when she finally did show her face, her excuse was that she fell out
with her boyfriend and didn't feel like delivering the training!

I don't think I need to comment on that, says all that needs to be said
about RNIB and what they think of the people they are supposed to be
assisting.

Yes I am Eleanor and the RNIB are even more useless over here than over
there so to speak, assuming you are on the Mainland. But another list as
others have said, if only slagging off the RNIB wasn't such fun. Perhaps
the topic should have a list al of its own!

Hi Eleanor

Don't ever be surprised that the RNIB know very little!

Neil
Thank you for that. I am a bit fed up at present, want to buy the
Wayfinder, got one price from RNIB, another at Sight Village from the
Company and another from Computer Room Services. Now I am not
complaining about any of these Agents for the product but the
cheapest
price came at Sight Village here in London and they did not say it
was
for the day only. I thought I had time to go away and think about it.
Now I am not going to purchase it.

In fact it was only when I asked Steve or someone on the Access list
a
question about upgrading Talks that a person at RNIB who had told me
I
could not upgrade then said it was news to her that I could upgrade
from
Vodafone Talks to Premium Talks on another phone for £50.00. That
from
RNIB Hi-Tech!

Eleanor,

That's correct, whilst Talks continues to work, minus the ability to
move
the license again, WFA can only function on one handset at a time.

But they don't charge to move from phone to phone.

No deactivation of Talks there Scot from what Steve said. He
explained
that

very well about upgrading from phone A to B and B to C. Have a look
at
his
reply there again. Steve has told me though that Wayfinder would
deactivate

from one phone to another if put on a second phone.

Hi Scott,

As many times as you like, but you can only use one phone per
upgrade.
In
other words, you buy Phone A, you then use Phone A to upgrade to
Phone
B.
You can still use Phone B to upgrade to Phone C, but you can't use
Phone

A
to upgrade to Phone C. So in other words, if you sell on Phone A,
the
new
customer can't use it for an upgrade, if you have done so.

All the best

Steve

Hi folks. How many times can talks be moved from one phone to
another?

I know it's £50 to move it over from one to another, but how many
times
can
I?

 Thanks Scott.
