Hi there
you need to do talks key and long press of the soft key 2. This is also called
function key 2 i.e the one you would use to exit or go back in the phone menu.

Hi, When I press talks + long press of the number 2 key, it just cycles between
different cursor modes like words, original but it still doesn't say how many
characters I've typed or are left.
