How very interesting. Are you in UK? With Mobile Speak doesn't it go by SIN rather than IMEI? I would like to give it a go if Vodafone would put it on for me free of charge. Want to compare it with Talks but would like to try a Windows platform too. Say then what would be an equivilent phone on the Windows to N 86 or e72 or even to N 97 mini? Voedafone do provide Mobile Speak and will install it as they do Talks. I discussed this with them about 3 weeks ago as I was thinking about getting a windows smart phone to enable me to use mobile Geo. They do Windows smart phones also. but most, not all were touch screen. There were about 3 or 4 phones suitable, if I remember correctly that were not touch screen. It sounds like you are up-to-date with Talks 5. As for the voices I know that is personal choice. Do not know why you cannot use Eloquence in your phone. It is my preferred choice and I think there are mamy people who would agree with me. I did find with e72 that the UK Eloquence was very distorted but no problem with US Eloquence. Do not know why that should be the case but it is. I have never tried Mobile Speak. It is a pity that Mobile Speak do not have any form of contract with one of the phone providers lake Vodafone who will put on a Standard Talks version free of charge. Maybe if there is someone from Mobile Real on the list they might wish to tell us why they will not make an agreement with say Vodafone for a free Standard version. I think Talks is therefore more readily available to users. Eleanor -original message- Subject: [talks-uk] Re: hello all! We need more information here. If I an at the standby screen and my phone is unlocked and I hit the number 3 it will say 3. That is what I would expect. Now maybe if the phone was in my pocket and Talks babbling away I would want it mute on key lock. To mute on key lock go to Talks menu by pressing Talks key and long press of soft key one. Then arrow right to the advanced tab and once there arrow down through the options until you get an option for mute on key lock. If this is not what is being asked come back again. I have just checked on my phone in Talks advanced tab. It is the 5th option down and in my case says mute on key lock yes Eleanor. -original message- Subject: [talks-uk] Re: hello all! From: "Barry Hill" <bbinc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 21/07/2010 11:13 am It was a pleasure to help someone who was trying so hard. Now, all we need to do is to answer his query :-) Personally, I have no idea how he might stop his phone from saying the superfluous bits. Would it be verbosity? Absolutely brilliant and thank you Barry for an excellent translation. The young new member appreciates it I have no doubt from his or her reply. It was indeed obvious that English was not a first language but it is great to have someone like yourself on the list who has interpreted and a very valuable contribution from the new member. I an ashamed to admit it myself but I had failed to translate also. Well done. Eleanor -original message- Subject: [talks-uk] Re: hello all!
