Well mine is Vodafone. It always says Vodafone when I turn on or go to the
Standby screen. I think if you do not want it to say anything you may set a
new profile or a new Application setting. Maybe someone else can comment. I
can look up my notes on application specific setting if this is what you
mean.

We need more information here. If I an at the standby screen and my phone is
unlocked and I hit the number 3 it will say 3. That is what I would expect.
Now maybe if the phone was in my pocket and Talks babbling away I would want
it mute on key lock. To mute on key lock go to Talks menu by pressing Talks
key and long press of soft key one. Then arrow right to the advanced tab and
once there arrow down through the options until you get an option for mute
on key lock. If this is not what is being asked come back again. I have just
checked on my phone in Talks advanced tab. It is the 5th option down and in
my case says mute on key lock yes
