[talks-uk] fring and skype on a mobile

hello
i have just received a long awaited handset.
on there are several things not on my other handsets that i have or ever had
can't think of all of them at the moment but 2 spring to mind and i wonder what
they are and what they do
1 fring what is it and what does it do?
2 skype it has something in front of it when talks speaks the word skype but i
have no idea what it is saying
however although i know what skype is what is this skype thing on a mobile
phone what does it do and what difference if there from the skype account i
have on the computer
3 do i have to download these as i can't copy them from one handset to another
and is there a subscription to pay to use them
