I am not sure though Alex whether it is a Talks issue or an issue with the e72 itself. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex Stone" <alex.stone@xxxxxxxxx>

Eleanor, based on the recent podcast from Torsten about Talks 5, I believe these sorts of problems are due to be sorted out in the new release, but obviously we won't know for sure until it is released. I have the latest firmware. had not heard anything about that chip set thingbefore. Why don't you join us on the Talks list Ben? Sounds to me like youwould be a very valuable contributor. Have not had a lot of time to spend with itat present but a very strange thing is the crackling sound I get when the cursor lands on Control Panel in the Menu list. It is like astatic sound. Then when I go in to Control Panel itself last night all items in the list were crackling but now it is only the first item, or perhaps it is thesecond, the Settings. I turned off navi key at Saqib's suggestion as thearrow keys were jumping about and I altered the sensativity within the screen of navi key to low. It was not possible to turn sensativity off.Any suggestions as to why I am experiencing this crackle? yes I meant tosay that having turned off Navi key and reducing the sensativity to low reduced the crackle to just the one item now on the Control Panel, the Settings. On the main Menu when the down arrow comes to Control Panel and Talks says Control Panel I get the crackle too. Might this be a faulty phone? I do not think so. Eleanor
