the N86 seems about the best of the phones you stand a chance of being able
to get new. otherwise you're looking at one of the E series phones or one
of the older phones such as the N82 or similar from EBay. I think computer room services and Talknav will install Talks if you ask but you need to pay
for it though its not too much.

If you have someone sighted that can help then sending the software to the
phone is quite straight forward using bluetooth.you need a talks program
file and an eloquence speech synth file or could use realspeak. you can run each installation file separately and accept the defaults. You need to set
time and date correctly first and in app manager you need to allow all
programs rather than just signed prgrams to be installed which in app
manager is under tools and applications management in any case.

Hi,

i hope i can make this message make sense...anyway i was given a phone but
unfortunately i cant seem to use it so have decided to buy one myself and
also i've decided to buy talks.

i know the phones these days are a bit hard to use generally. i need a
phone where i can feel the buttons and i can define each button. i also had
difficulty with the scrolling button. is there any model that is a little
more easy to use....ie has a more simple layout and the buttons are more
defined?
also, am i able to put talks on a phone myself instead of having to send it
away for someone to do it for me?

thanks for any help and sorry for the length of this enormous message. lol.
