Yes Carole, you have either to choose from. Can I refer you to the release notes for Talks 4. Changing a SIM is in my opinion OK but fiddley from phone to phone. Also the SIM is so small. I have let it fall before now and only my bare foot has located it on the floor!!! *smile*. I am however under the impression that with good fingernails you would have no problem with changing the SIM. My fingernails are too short most of the time!!! The liscence you have at present is an IMAI one and the SIM one is more expensive. The advantage of the IMAI one is that you can change your SIM service provider but if you have a SIM liscence you will probably stay with that provider, otherwise it would be too expensive as if you change with the SIM liscence you would have to purchaseanother new one, no thanks!!!Eleanor ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol Pearson" <carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 1:01 PM Subject: [talks-uk] Re: WAYFINDER ACCESS - A COUPLE OF CLARIFICATION POINTS, PLEASE!I'm somewhat confused ... I personally haven't managed to insert sims on my own as I don't need to do it that often and don't remember quite what I'm doing. I suppose with practice I'd be OKbut haven't had to do it much. So, if I don't licence the sim, what's the other method, the IMEI?-- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Twitter: http://twitter.com/songbird49a ---- Original Message ---- From: "Barbara Wilson" <barkingbabs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 12:22 PM Subject: [talks-uk] Re: WAYFINDER ACCESS - A COUPLE OF CLARIFICATION POINTS, PLEASE!Carol Just a word on SIM licensing. I think it is excellent value unless of course you want to have two phones on the go at once. It's not all that difficult to swap SIMs and you simply register it in each phone as you go. Which then is the best for me to go for? You can also move the application from phone to phone without extra costs. Personally i have found tthe Qstarz receiver Talknav is selling quite accurate and reliable. -- mr. This is pretty relevant to me as I'm thinking of a phone in a few months' time, but may (for some reason) not go that route after all. Nobody has commented about the GPS receivers either. Which ones do and donot work well with Wayfinder Access? Hi Carol, Lifetime means just that. You can transfer to any handset you want, but you can only use one handset at a time. You may have to pay for upgrades in the future, but not for the maps themselves. You can either register on the Talknav site, or give us a call, and we can do it for you in our usual friendly way <Smile>. Hi all, Well, I'm about to purchase - at last! Before doing so, I'm not sure whether my GPS receiver is still working properly. If not, whatdoes anyone recommend to go with the Nokia N95. (I know that receiver is not up to it so don'tintend to use the phone's own receiver.) Second, so I download the latest software I find on the TALKNAV pages and then how does the registration process work? Finally, what does "Lifetime" mean? Does it mean while you have a certain handset, or is the licence transferable to other handsets? Thanks for answers.
