That is excellent Paul. i thought I had got it to stop speaking on keylock but
unfortunately I did not succeed. Can live with that I guess. I actually
thought as I even looked through the camera that the focus was better and more
clear and that is with my reduced vision!!! *smile*.

Talks will say that because the new firmware automatically locks the keypad
as soon as the slider is closed. This is a good thing. Move the unlock switch
to unlock it.

Phone makes a sound now when you open and close the slider.

You have options in tools ,general settings (I think) to determine what the
phone does when you slide it... Mine is set to answer and incoming call when
open to reveal the keypad and end the call when shut.

You now have a Nokia conversation thing which groups your calls and messages
into who sent them, bit like email threads.

You might find a script alert thing keep popping up when you are browsing.
Don't know what it is and I just press OK on it and carry on surfing.

Think the video camera sound is better quality than it was before and I
believe the camera is more stable generally.

Other apps should be more stable.

  D2G works now.

I thought music player was supposed to see your created folders now but, it
doesn't seem to.

Can't think of anything else for now.

  Thanks.

  Hi Paul
Thank you for your help. I have now successfully updated my firmware via PC
Suite to the same version as you. How do you stop talks saying keypad closed
and keypad open: Have you noticed any changes? I know you say d2go now works
which is fantastic.

Thank you for all your help. I can remember you discussing this upgrade
business earlier this year. Well now at least we have got there!!! *smile*.

    Eleanor

Perhaps you already have the most recent version of the software where Paul
didn't? Have you checked what version he updated to to see if that is the one
you have?

There are Barbra. Paul Hopkins on the list has N96 with Vodafone and he
was able to do it directly from Menu tools etc.

        Eleanor

If that is what it is saying then perhaps there are no updates
available?

          Hi
I cannot do this no matter how I try. Have had a go with PC suite
today and with someone who is very good at using computers and PC suite. It
just won't let me do it though we can see the upgrade. At one time it just
totally stopped the computer and restarted. Any suggestions please? I cannot
do it from Menu, tools either as it just says there are no updates available.

          Eleanor
