Hi Carol,

No, you don't have to show it. But if you don't, you will have to enter the
SSID manually, observing exact case when writing the name.

All the best

Steve

Well, I haven't quite got my email working yet ... but do have one further
point I'd like clarified.

I did make my access point by going to New rather than using any of the
wizards, and of course had my Linksys SSID broadcasting so that I could let
my phone see the connection. However, although the Access Point has stayed
fixed and can be found when I go to surf the net, I notice that I have to
have the Linksys' SSID showing for it to be seen by my phone. Have I missed

a vital setting somewhere, or does this have to be the case with a phone
connection using one's router? (I have a feeling that someone suggested it
was one of the slightly risky things you have to do if you choose to use the

phone in this way, but would love to find out that you don't!)
