Steve, Thanks for the info and tips. I'll drop Steve a line and find out what the cost of upgrading Talks and transferring the license is. Cheers, Tink. _____ From: talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Dryden Sent: 15 December 2006 22:09 To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [talks-uk] Re: Switching phones. Hi Tink, Basically, your IMEI number is unique to each phone. Every phone has it's own number and can not be transferred. On your new E50, you will need to install Talks onto either the phone memory or the memory card but, bear in mind, the E50 uses a mini SD card. You should be able to transfer the licence though from your old phone to the new one. Steve should be able to do that for £50 I believe. Now, to give you a few hints on the E50, Jayne just got one this morning from O2. You will need to make sure that it has the online certification check off and that software installation is enabled. You can check this in Tools, Application manager and then settings. Also, if you are going to use your USB lead and pc suite to install, you will probably need to select pc suite in the Tools menu and then data cable. Not sure if this one is like my N73 which I wasn't able to detect until I enable PC suite on the phone. It's only the new 3rd edition talks which will work on the E50. Hope that helps Tink. Good evening, I've just acquired a Nokia e-50, which I hope will work with the latest release of Talks. What I'm trying to find out is what, if anything, I need to do to Talks before I take my sim card out of my old phone and put it in the other. Will the IMIE number stay the same, should I remove Talks first? That sort of thing. Any advise most welcome. Thanks. Regards, Léonie.
