Hi Eleanor, some business numbers that appear on your mobile or home phone caller ID will not be a number that you can call back. not sure why but it appears to be quite common, but its usually only business's that do it from what i can tell. HTH, Pete

Well what I have found strange today for instance is that I missed a call
and it gave me the telephone number. I attemted to call said number and got
the message on my mobile that the number is not in use!!! Now why would it
record a number inaccurately?

Hi Jackie -

It seems others have experienced this strange behaviour both on the N82,
and other phones.

I Guess unless all activity is checked each time the phone is
sending/receiving, what isn't logged could get missed. I don't use the log
for every call etc, and it is only now, when I wanted to prove I had
called somebody 3 times on the same day that I noticed that only the last
time was logged, and a couple of days later, I wanted to the number of
somebody that called me, only to find there was no record of their call.

Strange or what? It would be understandable if nothing got logged, but
this ad hoc behaviour is puzzling -

Hi Andy

This is really weird. I can see all my voice calls, text messages etc
in the log, whether they are incoming or outgoing. This is on all the
phones I've used too. How odd!

Hi Graham -

Although it's a poor result, I can see how several calls to the same
number on the same day, could be lumped together as a single log entry,
but have no idea why some recieved calls just get missed altogether! -

Hi Andy

My 9300 behaves in exactly the same way so think its common phone
behaviour.
Cheers!

Hi Jackie -

It seems to be a different issue to what Paul is experiencing, as I
have
all
3 set to 30 days; it seems very strange to me that the log doesn't
register
several calls to the same number on the same day, and that after
receiving
a
certain call, there is no record of it under received calls, not even
"private number."

Hi Andy

This is similar to Paul's problem. In your log, go to settings, and
put
the number of days showing received, missed and dialled numbers to the
same amount, and it should sort it for you. (Hopefully anyway).

Good luck.

Subject: [talks-uk] Some numbers not showing up in log

Hi all -

Just looking at my phone's log [N82] I notice that under dialed
nmumbers, if I have called the same nkumber 3 times over a 3 hour
period, only the last time shows up in the log; is this standard log
practice?

Also I received a call on Friday evening, that isn't in the 'received'
log, anybody know why this might be? I believe it came from another
mobile -

Andy
