Hi Yvonne, no it doesn't. A hard reset or a firmware update though does remove
any installed apps. Even firmware update on some of the newer phone models
doesn't effect your installed apps. Reset to factory settings effect your
phone's settings only.

Hi Jim, you could reset to factory settings. You'll find this option
somewhere in menu>tools>settings>general. Resetting to factory settings won't
lose you any of your data or installed applications on your phone but it will
reset all your phone's settings to their original status.

Is their such a thing as a soft reset for mobile phones where you can
reset the phone and not lose any programs, I.E talks? If yes, could you please
