Hi. Steve your probably right there. I have a problem with one of my sockets
where the line gets disturbed when I get an incoming call. It's an fairly old
socket and BT will not come out and fix it as the problem is nothing to do with
the actual line. I'm afraid it's a DIY job if I want to resolve the issue. It's
either that or pay £99 for a call out. It's just not worth the money. I could
go to a different provider but the fault with the socket will be still there.
At least I have my phone in which I can rely on for when my BT Broadband line
has a funny turn.

  Hi Saqib,

Must be something up with your BT Hub then, or you don't have a good
connection speed.

  All the best

  Steve

Hi Neil. When I download a podcast by using my provider Three. I get much
faster downloads than I would get with my BT Hub.

    Hi Paul,

Wow, T-mobile are much better. For 7 pounds a month, you get up to 40GB.

    All the best

If you have Vodafone's unlimited Internet package I think it is currently
500mb a month, it may be 800mb but quite a bit for most people. You might use
it all if you download podcasts and stuff like that.

I think they charge you a £1 per day once you have exceeded your limit.
So, they say it is unlimited but it isn't really.

Anyway, unless you have 3g or 3.5g service in your area, you would be
better using wireless as it is faster in most cases.

Someone else correct me if I am wrong.

    Neil

I think the best thing is to wait until the person who set it up for me is
available again. He cannot understand me wanting to access my e-mails through
my phone and that does not help. Yet he is a PC software buff and that is his
job. I can use my Vodafone contract at present I am just afraid I will end up
with a big bill but I have checked with them again and they say it is unlimited
internet access. What worries me is that my nephew had a contract with them
and he maintained they were charging him more every month and that he had not
used up all his allowances but then maybe that was just him.

Yes I have a security set up in my home one. I must just find the bit of
paper and then I'll be fine. I think it is usually a very large number like 25
letters and numbers or maybe it is smaller like 10, I am not sure.

      Eleanor,

Without the other information you'll not be able to set it up, when you
connect your PC or laptop to the wireless hub are you asked for a security key?
do you know what this is? how many characters long is it?

This might help me guess which protocol it uses, do you have any
information from BT about how to connect to it, did they tell you anything?
