I would firstly switch to an alternative synth, like either eloquence or the
Nokia TTS, then uninstall the VCM / RSM synths, now you can install Talks v5
right over the top of Talks v4. Now install the new VCM synths. Turn your
phone off then on again and go to Talks and change the synth selection to
any of the new VCM one?s.

Neil,

Thanks for this.

I am currently using Talks 4.1 on my N96 with Vocaliser voices. I have
downloaded the new Talks 5.0 and have also downloaded the associated
Vocaliser voices, as I believe, from the Release Notes, that these have
changed.

If I need to update the voices as well as Talks, do I install the voices
first? Do I just install them over the top of the existing ones? Regarding
Talks 5.0 itself, do I just install this over the top of my current version
of Talks?

Any suggestions/advice is gratefully received.

Many Thanks, With Kind Regards,
