That is interesting Barbra. My friend in Belfast wants to purchase one of them and have Vodafone put on Talks for her. Are they readily available in the shop? I put a question on the Talks list and nobody has answered me, probably because they get fed up of me and my questions but wonder if you would be able to help. It is about my Outgoing e-mail on the N96 which I now have up and running. No problem with the incoming mail. I was using it with my home hub. I even tried sending out and paying to see if that would work but it did not. This particuar SIM is 02. I did call in to the shop this afternoon and the person told me to come back on Wednesday when someone to do with e-mail would answer my query. What a pity I did not come across the wiz kid I had yesterday. My e-mail account is BT Internet. I think of the time when we went through it together. I am sure all other settings are fine, it is just this particular one. On the N96 it is not for example saying to always ask about which network to use, e.g. home hub or 02GPRS. I put in Home Hub but it keeps going back I think to Default. Now I may have not done the connection thing correctly via Tools. I just went through it very late last night and put in my key etc and like I say fine for the Incoming. Maybe I needed to put in my key also for the outgoing perhaps. I got it second hand, so not as expensive as it would have been new obviously. I have gone back to the E51. I had this a while ago and have purchased a new one direct from Nokia. I can hear Steve shriek in horror already but in my humble opinion, it's miles better than some of these new all singing all dancing phones. Well it does what I want it to do anyway and does it extremely well. Was it an expensive phone? Might someone visually impaired not purchase it if they do not want to use Internet. I know viskually impaired who use computers but no way would they use Internet on the phone. I suppose you have transferred your Talks to the new phone. You're not telling us then what new model you got this time. Nokia fixed what they called an "Electrical problem". On the second attempt they said they fixed the WLAN problem. However it still isn't working perfect. Also, since they had it the phone seems to be worse. Sometimes you have to press a key several times for it to perform its function. A light user probably could live with these thngs, but they'd drive me mad. I could argue the toss with Nokia, but they are a nightmare and life is just too short to try and get anywhere with them. Got a new phone and all working fine with TALKS. Definitely not an N79. Lovely little phone, but I'm not going there again. This one will probably go on eBay as faulty for spares or something. Still got all its box contents, so should get a few quid for them at least.
