can't be sure but i'm guessing it won't let you save pdf as a word or text file
because it's basically an image file. when jaws reads them it uses a special
conversion system which i think is built in to acrobat etc these days. if you
open a pdf in kurzwiel it actually treets it like a scan and has to try to
recognise text from it and doesn't always get it rite. plus a lot of pdf
documents have a copywrite thing on them which i assume is to stop people
editing or messing about with them, but it also stops you saving them as text
documents.

able to do the same with a pdf attachment as pdf allows to save as text.

If you get a Word attachment, save it as a text file and you will be able
to open and read it.

Right Sqib I will give that a go. Sometimes when I press the down arrow
the whole e-mail reads and other times I was having to use the down arrow but
now I will give it a go pressing the Talks key and the down arrow.
I could not read word attachments properly and I guess it is the same
with PDF. Steve says I can't read PDF then some guy called James said I could
but James never came back to me on that one. Do you ever read attachments.
Why does it always say when I download the e-mails to the phone HTML attachment.

Hi Eleanor. When you open an e-mail! Talks will read out the name of
the sender of that e-mail. Arrow down once and then Talks should read the rest
of the e-mail. If this doesn't work then press Talks key and the down arrow for
it to read the entire e-mail.
