Pete indeed though even when I purchased my N95 Standard I do not think it had come down much in price so would not hold my breath re the N86. Now last year the N82 was the best thing since sliced bread, yet it has b een superseeded by N86. Might the N86 now get pushed aside and another phone come on the market in the meantime.
With regard to the latest update of Talks, I am unsure how to see the improvements in Eloquence which apparently can be customised. Would like if someone could give me an example please as at present I have installed the new updated version but nothing has changed for me. ----- Original Message ----- From: "DurDevil" <durdevil@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

I wasn't going to respond but I felt your use of the word "Failure" was a bit harsh - come on think about it, did they say it would work and be supported immediately? Nope. so how have they failed exactly? I've seen on this list multiple times that Steve and Neil have both advised that it will be supported and that due to it being a completely new mail client it does need development time and they are the boys in the know because they are authorised dealers so come on lets play fair and be nice hey? If I was working hard to develop something and then during the process heard that I had apparently failed before I had even announced completion I would be rather upset <Sniff sniff*Wipes tear away from eye* sniff> Lets have some patience hey? It'll be well worth it trust me. And whilst your waiting you have a N95 8GB and that is still even today one of the best bits of kit I have used (yes I have one too!) and there is not much more that the new phones do that this phone doesn't! And another positive thing is that when Nuance does release their full support the N86 will most likely be much more available and cheaper :-) Cheers Pete -original message- Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N85 From: "Steve Nutt" <steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 01/12/2009 7:36 pm Hi Graham, To be honest, I use the N79 for Email, but I still love the N86. The Email will be working on these phones eventually, but there is a lot to do on the side of Talks to make it happen, since the interface is more graphical. So I would not call it a failure on Nuance part, rather I would say if you want it to work properly, you'll have to wait. If Nuance released it and it was buggy, you'd be complaining about that too no doubt. I think they are doing a great job, and the Email side will definitely come. Given the failure of nuance in this latest release yet again to get that email client working you have a very good point. the N85 could be the best phone to upgrade to right now. My n95 8GB is getting to the end of its life now I think. it is 18 months old and has generally been treated quite well though it has had 2 drops! I will need to upgrade early in the new year and I need or would certainly very much like to use email on the mobile so I suppose it's the n85 or one of the E range such as the E52. I would also like gps and wifi to. I am not advocating the N85 necessarily, but these buttons are not impossible if you are blind, in fact, I have the N79 which has the same strip and can now text very fast on it.
