OK Jackie that explains it. Now how would I know if I had bluetooth on this machine if I do not plug in the dongle? Where would I look? The machine is quite new.

Hi Eleanor I don't have a Bluetooth dongle on my Samsung where I was having the problem. I just wanted to use the built-in Windows Bluetooth, but the Samsung software was conflicting with it, as previously posted. As my desktop machine is a bit old, I have a dongle for that. My HP Vista laptop also has built-in Bluetooth, so no need for a dongle on that either. I deleted the pairing and tried again. I would have connected via a cable, but I've lost my cable and don't want to borrow my wife's cable and loose that too. Can anyone work out why I am having the problems with the bluetooth? Could it be because of the fact I tried to test the jayo mobile extender program Neil mentioned in another message?
