Jackie I thought you used a USB bluetooth dongle. Eleanor----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairns@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Eleanor I didn't update anything using USB. If you use the Windows Update site to regularly retrieve and install updates, you often see an optional hardware item that you can click on to install. When I got my Samsung and got all the updates, there was a Bluetooth one that pretended to install, but then said had failed. It bothered me that I couldn't do it, but after I removed the WinCom Bluetooth software from the netbook, I went back to the Windows Update site and did the update without a hitch. It just suggests to me there is a conflict somewhere. I'm not sure exactly what you mean on the USB front. How did you update the hardware? Can you send me the link please? Now mine has gone, it works a treat, just like it should have done! I couldn't even download the optional hardware update from the Update site while that software was installed. As soon as I got rid of it, I updated the hardware option and it's been great. No I haven't. I'd be inclined to remove it too. I like the way the Windows software works, why do Samsung think they know better? I want to get it to work as I do not see why it should not. I then found that PC suite had an update so I updated it to the latest version which is 7.1.8.0 but the two devices wouldn't pair even though I deleted the pairing and tried again. I would have connected via a cable, but I've lost my cable and don't want to borrow my wife's cable and loose that too. Can anyone work out why I am having the problems with the bluetooth? Could it be because of the fact I tried to test the jayo mobile extender program Neil mentioned in another message? Please note however, that I have now deleted Jayo Mobile extender from both my PC and my phone encase that was part of the problem with my bluetooth issue. Thank you in advance for any advice.
