Jackie I thought you used a USB bluetooth dongle.

Hi Eleanor

I didn't update anything using USB. If you use the Windows Update site
to regularly retrieve and install updates, you often see an optional
hardware item that you can click on to install. When I got my Samsung
and got all the updates, there was a Bluetooth one that pretended to
install, but then said had failed. It bothered me that I couldn't do
it, but after I removed the WinCom Bluetooth software from the netbook,
I went back to the Windows Update site and did the update without a
hitch. It just suggests to me there is a conflict somewhere.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean on the USB front.

Couldn't agree with you more Steve. Now mine has gone, it works a
treat, just like it should have done! I couldn't even download the
optional hardware update from the Update site while that software was
installed. As soon as I got rid of it, I updated the hardware option
and it's been great.

Hi Eleanor.

No I haven't. I'd be inclined to remove it too. I like the way the
Windows software works, why do Samsung think they know better?

All the best

Steve

Steve have you looked at the bluetooth on the N C 10 as I do not really
want to remove it as per what Jackie did. I want to get it to work as I
do not see why it should not.

Hi Alex,

Go into Bluetooth on your phone, and make sure that it is set to Shown
To All, as opposed to Hidden.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [talks-uk] Problems transferrring data between my PC and my
Nokia 6680

Hi all,

I was trying to transfer a couple of MP3 files earlier today, (with
bluetooth dongle plugged into my PC, and bluetooth switched on on my
phone), but even though the two devices had been paired, they didn't
want to see each-other.

I then found that PC suite had an update so I updated it to the latest
version which is 7.1.8.0 but the two devices wouldn't pair even though I
deleted the pairing and tried again.

I would have connected via a cable, but I've lost my cable and don't
want to borrow my wife's cable and loose that too.

Can anyone work out why I am having the problems with the bluetooth?
Could it be because of the fact I tried to test the jayo mobile extender
program Neil mentioned in another message? Please note however, that I
have now deleted Jayo Mobile extender from both my PC and my phone
encase that was part of the problem with my bluetooth issue.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Alexander Shannon
