This is probably because some of your contacts have more than one number.
For example, if you have me in there with a home, mobile and work number, that
will become three contacts on the Sim. The sim can only take one number per
contact.

Were there already some contacts on your SIM? It could be that it is full.
I think most only hold 200 contacts.

I did this today, all 165 contacts. However, when complete I got a
message to say that 28 of the contacts had not been copied to SIM. Why would
this have been? I am thinking that maybe the 28 are e-mail contacts though I
have more than 28 3-mail contacts. Surely it isn't that my SIM will not take
more contacts. This would not be good.
Any thoughts?
