Hi,

I'm assuming you can't just exit out of the software update when it pops up.
I'm also assuming you've tried removing the battery for a minute,
re-inserting it and starting up again. This is certainly odd and I can't
see how it can be fixed without additional software, etc, just as is. I
can't recall the update screen appearing for me when I set mine up.

If the phone is in warranty your best bet is to contact the network that
supplied it and see if they will replace it. If it's fairly new this is
usually done without a problem.

Do let us know how you get on.

Hi Hussein

I get the welcome message and set-up wizard and then it goes to update
software and completely locks up.

Best wishes

Paula
