Thanks for letting me know. I may well be upgrading to a Nokia N97 in the
summer, when my contract is due for renewal and when the new Talks 5.0 is
out. I presume the Maps app will work with the N97? I'm also presuming
that the N97 has built-in GPS, in the same way as the N96.
I am not a Wayfinder user. I was about to invest in it when news broke
about its demise.

Hi Charles.
No, Ovi maps is the new incarnation of maps, its called Ovi Maps as it is
now part of the Ovi suite of services. The N96 isn't compatible with the
latest version of the software though, so you'll have to either upgrade
your phone or stick to using wayfinder if you have it.

Hi I will demonstrate this Ovi Maps. I will do this tomorrow. I just need
one piece of advice. I don't have any recording equipment. I don't think I
can use the recording facility on my E72 while I'm navogating but I could
be
wrong on that. I have a none speach Samsung Mp3 player in which I can use.
I
will play around with the devices today to see which piece of equipment
can
produce the best sound quality. I will demonstrate this App on a local
walk
in my area. I'm a long cane user so I can only hold one device at a time
and
the recorder in the phone would of been ideal. I will get back to you all
when I've decided on my method of recording.
