Eleanor, you can't change that key to do something else. With Active
Standby off, you can change the two soft keys and all the joypad keys,
but not the multimedia key.

Yes thanks Neil I know that but there is one button that controls Multi
Media and that is what we want to change. It is the button below key 2
and to the right of the select button.

        Carol / Eleanor,

        Tools / Settings / General / Personalization / Stand By Mode /
Short Cuts, in here you can define what soft key one and two do from the
standby screen and also what the arrow keys do and the select key.

        Barbara,

Mine is set up to launch the visual radio and not the music
player as this is on Key 2.

If your friend's is set up as you describe then it must be
possible, unless this comes with various setups, depending on which N95
etc. I can't though find anywhere to alter this and so throw it out to
all N95 users.

I'd much rather use the key for something else as I don't use
the visual radio.

Someone did mention having got this to work, BTW, and I'd be
interested in any feedback on this.

Sorry I can't really help at all, Barbara. Will write again if
I find anything else worth passing on regarding this.

I am trying to help out a sighted friend with a Nokia
N95 and as it does not have TALKS on it I can't have a play around and
find this out for myself. On the right of the keypad just between the
key 2 and call end key is a largish square key which is set up as a
shortcut key to launch the music player. Is it possible to set this key
to an alternative shortcut and if so, how?
