Hi Steve. When I was getting my upgrade the 86 was at the point where it
was new and Talks was an issue with it. I would like one but I now have my
24 month contract with Voedafone and no doubt in 2 years time something else
will be on the market. I could buy one and get Talks installed but that's a
lot of money but I guess I could sell my 95 and put the money towards it but
even then, it is still a lot of money to find. I wouldn't have had a
problem with the 85 but the manager in the voedafone shop said the interface
on the 85 has changed and it takes a bit of getting used to as it is
different from the menu systems we have been previously used to. Walter.

  Hi Walter,

If you want an N85-like phone, but with a good keypad, look at the N86. It
is a great phone.

  All the best

  Steve

Hi Barbara. When I was getting my upgrade and after I had opted for the
6210 I had a chance to hold an 85. I originally wanted the 85 but due to
misinformation by Voedafone I opted for the 6210. I think if I recall the
body was plastic but it was a solid unit and didn't feel fisher pricish as
does the N95. I liked the feel of it but the navigation keys and the keypad
were very flush and was hard to distinguish but one would get used to that
provided there wasn't any sensitivity problem. I liked it though but the
6210 is excellent as the navigation keys are very distinctive although the
keypad is like the 96. Walter.

For those who have held one, does the N85 have a plastic or stainless
steel body? If plastic, how strong/flimsy does it feel?

    Cheers.
