Thanks Amro. Seems to be a few problems that perhaps will be ironed out in
future releases of TALKS. I was asking on behalf of a friend who is
interested, I'm still using my 5500 which isn't due for upgrade until
October so who knows what will be on the market by then.

Hi Barbara,

I use Talks with an E65 and it works nicely. The voice is clear and Talks is
responsive. On the negative side, I found couple of problems to be
mentioned.

I found that Talks doesn't read the graphical notification of a messed call
or received message. However, you can obtain this info easily using
Talks+long Soft Key 2 keystroke. As well, you might be able to label these
two graphical simples using the Talks Graphics Labeller - check with Steve.

I'm totally not sure whether this is a Talks problem or it's my phone that
is faulty. if I use the speed dial by pressing and holding a number on the
keypad the phone hangs and restart. However, if I press the speed dial
corresponding key, followed by the Call Key, the speed dial works with no
problems. So it's not a big deal.

You need to keep in mind that Talks doesn't seem to work with the new Nokia
browser that comes on some of the newer Nokia models and the E65 is
unfortunately one of them. As well, Talks doesn't work with the basic Quick
Office that comes with the phone and it didn't do any better even after I
purchased the advanced version of Quick Office. The Talks dealer should give
you more up to date info about this and to when these issues are going to
be addressed.

Lastly, I should mention that the battery last me for about one & half days.
So you'd be better off charging it every night if you're a heavy user.

All in all, a nice small and a light weight phone, with a quite few short
keys that makes accessing the phone's functions easy such as the Voice
Recorder, a mute button and a programmable button and a few more. It has all
the connectivity methods built in as well. The phone has a 1.3 camera and a
real player too, nothing fancy though like the Nokia N73.

Hope that helps,
Amro
