Hi Saqib sorry to butt in! I'' hav had the N97 for quite some time and hav seen a fair few firmware improvements during that time and i can certainly confirm that its been massivily improved and firmware 20.X onwards is real stable. Battery life is awesome [And i hav really put it through its paces!] storage space is never going to be an issue with 32gv built in plus a card slot [i hav 48gb using a 16gb card but could even use a 32gv card and hav 64gb!] the phone memory is a bit low but if you stick most files on the mass memory then all is good as most apps that are required to install on the phone memory are small, even Talks is small in size despite it packing such a massivr amount of functionality in. i would say the N97 is mor suitable for the visually impaired than the Mini version as its keyboard is better spaced and has the DPad. But it is quite big so its good to hav the smaller version available as some might not need all the bells and whistles but wants the same concept....... Last year there were reports of the N97 having mini crashes. Has the latest firmware ironed this bug out. I went for the Mini after reading about the N97 firmware issues on a couple of review sites. Firstly, the N97 has not only the larger amount of memory, but importantly in my view comes with propper hardware GPS, an FM Transmittor which is a nice touch and just generally I feel just more comfortable with the device. The N97 Mini's keyboard is smaller than the N97's, you can really spread your hands on the bigger keyboard as I haven't got the smallest or most nimble of fingers plus you have the navi pad rather than the smaller arrow keys the mini comes with. There are other advantages over the smaller brother, it takes the same battery as the E71 communicator so long battery life comes as standard, the mini has a battery which is extremely hard to come by as it is the only battery in Nokia's range which fits just the one phone. All the best, Ibrahim. ----- Original Message ----- From: Saqib To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 6:00 PM Subject: [talks-uk] Re: New phones with new talks Hi Ibrahim. Why do you prefer it's older brother? Is it because of the internal storrage being 4 times as much? I would like your opinion on the keypad as I think the querty keys are too close on the Mini. Is it better typing on the N97? From: Ibrahim Gucukoglu Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2010 5:41 PM To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [talks-uk] Re: New phones with new talks Hi Mandy. Talks 5.0 will be supporting the N97 mini. If your thinking of buying one, I am thinking of selling mine as I have an N97 and I don't think I'll be using my mini as I prefer its bigger brother. Please email me off-list at ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx and I'm sure we can sort something, I might even be able to save you some money.
