Steve,

I'm going to have to hold my hands up to this one. *Grin. Total failure of the techie gene it seems.

Oh Tink, I'm disappointed! come on girl, you're the technical one, hahahah, get yourself onto version 2, it's so much better. Not sure which phone you have but the latest version of talks will give you a reasonable level of access to wap now as well. I've looked up info on google, froogle and yell.com with a good level of success.

Take care tink,

Chao for now.

Steve

Thanks Ian, but I almost wish I hadn't looked. It appears that I'm on
1.40, does that make any sense to anyone? I suspect I'm some way behind the
latest here. *Smile.

Tink, go to the Talks settings menu with Talks key star then select Options with Key 1. top of the shop is "About". Select that and it'll tell you which version you've got.

 Cheers now.

This is almost certainly a daft question, but how do I tell which version of Talks I'm using?

Tink.

Hi Karen,

On my 6630 it's V1.99.8. does that mean I'm stuck with navigating by
 character?

 Cheers now.

Hi Ian

think the advance tab has only been added in recent versions of talks,
what version do you have there?

Hi Karen,

Okay, tried going into the Talks settings menu with Talks key and star
but pressing the right side of the central key on my 6630 didn't do
anything. There doesn't seem to be an advanced tab in my menu. Any
 further suggestions gratefully received.

 Cheers now.

HI ian and Tink

yes, you can alter talks so that you can navigate text by words and not
letters. if you go in to your talks menue, go to the advanced tab by
pressing your right arrow and cursor down you will come to cursor mode,
 just choose words.

 hope this helps.
