I think you can get it through the software that you can use to change it.
But I'm not sure exactly as our tech guys do this for us.

Thanks for that. For those interested, if you get the product code from
underneath the battery, there is no way to get it without sighted help, then
you can search for it on the Nokia site and check that way. The product
code is not the IMEI number.

It was answered in the earlier thread.
Basically, if you get imported firmware, you can't update, until that
country releases the firmware for it. Nokia keep very tight control of
that. So if you have a phone imported from France, you currently can't get
the new N82 firmware for example.
