Hi Graham. There is a onscreen number pad and there is one on the keypad. The top row of querty keys double up as numbers. You have to press FN key then one of those keys to display a number when writing a text message. If you are going to dial a number then you don't need to press the FN key.

I'm trying to get use to the keypad at the moment. This keypad doesn't have the four way navogational keypad like the N97. The screen is slightly smaller but it's a better phone when it comes to stability and it doesn't suffer from multiple crashes like the original N97. It has one physical key on the top and that is the menu key and there are two virtualonscreen keys next to the menu and they are call and end. Both are colouredwith the call being green and end being orange. They are just below the actual screen display when the phone keypad is shut. It also has a camerakey which works out to be the command key for MS4 and the power button is atthe top of the phone next to the headphone socket.
