Hi Saqib. They might well do, but it would be locked and branded with their own firmware. As much as you and I like three, others like to have their handsets unlocked and unbranded, so the price I was quoting re buying the phone on play would be for a sim free handset.
All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "Saqib" <saqib500@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Ibrahim. Three sell the N97 for £366 on their pay as you go plan. I was surprised to see it on pay as you go as it is a top of the range phone, but there you go. If you have deep pockets then it's a consideration if Nuance ever decide to support the phone.-------------------------------------------------- From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 11:53 AM To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N95 versus N96 versus N85Hi Mat.You can get the N97 for £499.99 from play as of this moment, so where your getting 700 quid from is a mystery to me. You can use most of the N97 features so I understand, but I think you'll be flogging a dead horse if you think Nuance is going to come out with something in the next couple of months or so.----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Brown" <matthew_brown@xxxxxxx>To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 11:38 AM Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N95 versus N96 versus N85As of today, T-mobile will be offering both the N97 and N86 handsets. The N97 is due out now but stocks haven't come in yet, and the current release date for the N86 is the 14th of August this year.I would wait for the N86 and go for that rather than the N85 if I were you, much more powerful.Personally, I'm going to get the N97 on my T-mobile upgrade because I'm taking a gamble that in view of the new accessible 3GS IPhones and the fact that Nokia are bringing out more and more touch screen phones in an attempt to be compettative, Nuance and Codefactory are likely to review their position with regards the N97 and come up with a viable speech solution for it soon. I take this view because the N97 is a mixture of touch screen and fully accessible qwerty keyboard, so coming up with a speech solution wouldn't be as tricky as it would be for a phone that only had a touch screen. If they don't, I'll get my N97 unlocked and flog it because they're going for about 700 unlocked but will only cost me about 80 quid on contract, and I'll hold on to my N82 in the meantime.Regards, Matt -------------------------------------------------- From: "All formats" <allformats@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 11:20 AM To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N95 versus N96 versus N85The N85 could be a consideration now. I wanted the N96 for all the reasons you would expect for a top of the range phone and it is a disgrace that I ameven having to consider my options on this.It would not be fair to sell my N96 to someone when I know what the issuesare. I don't believe that the N97 is an option of us using Talks is it? -----Original Message-----From: talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:talks-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Saqib Sent: 06 July 2009 11:17 To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N95 versus N96 versus N85Hi. Paul. Why not sell your N96 and then buy your desired phone. I know it might work out a bit expensive to go around this route but at least you will be a lot happier once you have purchased a phone in which you would enjoy using. I have kept away from the N96 because of it's keypad and the problems in which have been reported on this list. The N97 would of been an excellentchoice or even the N85. -------------------------------------------------- From: "All formats" <allformats@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 9:48 AM To: <talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N95 versus N96 versus N85I would say, keep the N95. I think you said you have the latest firmware.I am astounded that Vodafone have allowed the problems on the N96 to go on for so long. I am near the beginning of a 24 month contract with Vodafone with the N96 and I wish I had just kept my N95. Steve would be able to tell you more about the N85 but, best thing to do is find a review of it somewhere. From what I remember reading, it is a lesser phone anyway than the N95.The model numbers should give you some clues, 95 being higher than 85, even though the 85 is a newer phone, it would have some features missing I would think that are present on the 95. Cheers. I was speaking to Voedafone today regarding my upgrade. As Steve mentioned last night I asked them about the N85 and the N86. They don't do the 86 but do the 85. What would you say about these handsets; which of them is the better option. Of course we are talking about talks here so even though a handset might be superior, in the balance when Talks is added into the equation, the most technically superior machine might not be the "best." The N96 is not very ergonomically good as a result of it's keypad being so flush. So the N95 and N85 would, or could be considered superior. If I discounted the N96 and opted to either keep my N95 or go for the N85 would I merely be swapping like for like? Is there any real difference between the N85 and the N95 apart from the N85 being a newer model? All of you who have an opinion and especially if you have had experience with any of these handsets your contribution would be welcomed.
