Now I am confused though.

If I was to convince Vodafone to swap my N96 for a N85 am I getting a
different one to the one you are talking of Steve?

According to Walters message, Vodafone are going to be releasing a different
phone with the same model number.

Walter, I'd only add a couple of other points to what Steve has already
said.  I have the N85 also and totally love it.  It is much smaller than the
N95 8GB which I also own.  I find the responsiveness with talks very good
also and it also has some very nice little add ons like the audio themes. 
You can assign sounds to the slide open and close etc.  It doesn't have any
high capacity internal memory like the N95 8 GB though in reality, it has
good onb board phone memory.  You can however get up to a 16 GB Micro SD
card for it.

N85 is very much the way to go.  Smiles.
