I haven't seen the n95 yet, but I do like the n82 myself, the keys are so easy
to negotiate, they are like little prominent blades.

Interesting Susan. I did see one at Sight Village last week in London. I do
like the N95 though.

        Hi Eleanor,

Very probably yes. The new N95 firmware came out I believe, in August.

        All the best

        Steve

Thanks Steve but do tell me this, I only have the phone since June so
does the firmware really need upgrading?

          Hi Eleanor,

If you are talking about upgrading the firmware on your Vodafone
phone, you can send it to us, and we can do it for you. That would cost
another tenner for carriage, but no more. So if, once you get your new phone,
which I will have upgraded the firmware for anyway, you want me to do your Voda
phone, just send it to me and I will upgrade it.

          All the best

          Steve

            Hi Eleanor,

Then probably your firmware needs upgrading. Yes, do it if you can.

            All the best

Thanks for that Steve. How is that upgraded and would it solve my
problem about that Edit and Talks key? I did what you said last night about
the Kepad beeps and then was disappointed today when that new problem occured.
I never had that problem before.

              Hi Eleanor,

It would be like upgrading Windows on a PC. If you upgraded
Windows XP to Vista, that would be the equivalent of upgrading the firmware on
a phone. The firmware is the operating system, on your phone, it is called
Symbian.

              All the best

              Steve

What do you mean Steve and I apologise for being stupid when you
say upgrading the firmware?

Yeah, this isn't confined though to the n95. I've seen this on
an N91, N81 and my N95. Not sure if it happened on my old 6680 or E65. Often
upgading the firmware will reduce this occurance.

                Steve.

                  Oh naughty naughty Eleanor.

I found this problem once when installing TALKS onto an N95
for someone and as with you, a restart fixed it.

                    Hi

For some reason this afternoon my Talks key, which I think
also comprises the Edit Key seemed to get stuck on Edit and I could not get the
Talks part of the key to say talks. Had to turn the phone off and on again.
Anyone else had that problem. Maybe I had something on the screen and that was
why it was being adament about Edit but I had pressed the Key 2 a few times and
it did not look to me like there was any other writing on the screen but my
screen saver of my dear guide dog Pedro whom I had to have put to sleep way
back in April. However he sits proudly on my phone on the desk top in his
harness, the day we qualified and he looks so proud. His replacement Neela is
now relaxing on, wait for it, yes, my bed!

                    Eleanor
