Thanks Paul, do I have that programme on the phone or would I have to put it on? Also how long could I record for in terms of minutes? Phones beep for all sorts of reasons. As you have already said though, you know you have to tell people if you record them. I'll have a look on the built in recorder and see if you can use that. I think there is a programme called extended recorder that you can set a short cut for. So, when you wanted to record, you would press the star key or something like that. Cheers. I did have a telephone, not a mobile and it was possible to record the phone conversation, every 30 seconds a beep went off and even if the person had not been told then they would have known by this indicator. It is not for secret purposes of recording that I wanted to know. Say for example if I was having a telephone tutorial, it might be easier to record the phone tutorial rather than me making notes all the way through and once I had the tutor's permission hopefully that would be OK. If my memory serves me correctly you have some legal knowledge so I'm probably teaching my granny to suck eggs here.
