Hi Neil, I am not with you on that. If someone new to a phone and Talks locks the keypad and forgets how to unlock it, it is a handy reminder. We have had support calls about people not being able to unlock their keypads, so Talks saying press Key1 then star to unlock is a handy reminder. That's why it hasn't been done. If the keypad is locked, but Mute On Keylock is set to No, which it is by default, you won't always get the tone. But if you set Mute On Keylock to Yes, then you are right, you should always get the tone. Yes, I know with some sound files, Talks need to be muted; but, strangely, I get my message alerts with my N95 and Talks on. (My keypad is probably almost always locked at the time they come in!) I chose a short sound which penetrates through the house so that I'm sure to pick it up and it's (hopefully) not too much of a resource hog. Hope that might help someone. -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ---- Original Message ---- From: Steve Spamer To: talks-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2009 11:38 AM Subject: [talks-uk] Re: N95 Message Alert > Hi Eleanor, it could possibly be the same issue I have here with the > N96.
