Steve,

Have now set it so that the time and date are not displayed, but function keys
are displayed.
Is there an option to switch off this display as well?

Cheers,

Mark.

  Hi Mark,

Bring up the standby screen that shows the date and all that, then press
Talks and hold down Key1 the left option key, to get into Talks. Now Options,
App Specific Settings, then in there, Options, Add App Specific Setting, and
arrow down to Subtitles. Set that to never, and you're done. The only thing
you will hear now is your operator.

  All the best

  Steve

  Greetings,

When I unlock my N86, I hear a display of the time and date, plus a list of
options involving the short cut function keys set up within my phone.

Is there way of turning this information off?

  Thanks much in advance.

  Regards,

  Mark.
