[talks-uk] Re: N85 and E72 with Vodafone

Hi Saqib,

Can't say I'm all too surprised. I only found out about the update recovery
from a non-booting phone literally just a few weeks ago when I was upgrading my
own phone. It could be new in the 2009 version although I'm not all that sure
on that one.

I'm told Nokia service centres used to use this - I'm not sure if this is still
the case but it's still one of the most well-used tools for phone recovery and
examination. Also, I think it often comes bundled with unlocking kits and the
like, particularly the more expensive ones.

If you can squeeze it out of them, I would be interested to see how CPW do the
recovery. That's assuming they don't just replace the handset outright which
I've known them do in the past.
