I would personally call them to discuss it and tell them you never cancelled
your insurance and that made it their fault, you have to be very blunt with
vodafone, or any of these companies, otherwise they get away with anything. I
had a battle but now have been credited for my talks which they promised a
couple of months ago. I also get Braille bills every month but don't know how
the insurance is done as I don't have it, Carol

I get them online and didn't look at the detail at the time as the bill was
around the same as usual.

I wouldn't expect to look to see if my insurance had been charged each month
though any more than I would look to see if I still had the same price plan.

Those are the things you know you are being charged for each month and not
expect them to change.

Don't they send you statements? Wouldn't this have been in your statement?
I have print statements and audio statements from Vodafone and any time I
changed anything, no matter how minor they always sent a statement because
apart from anything else I always asked them and reitterated that I would also
require the audio one.

I think I will ask them for a few months free line rental or something...
As an aside, in part of the conversation yesterday, they suggested that I claim
on my insurance, then said that I no longer had insurance... When I asked why,
as I had not cancelled it, they said it was cancelled by them when they changed
my price plan! So I was supposed to know that how???

So, I definitely need to address that one with them... If I had have lost
my phone for example, I would have no protection...

    Craziness!

Hopefully it will not Paul. I wish you well and have no doubt you will
keep us posted.

      Thanks for that.

I could have had the N97 MINI as I said but, I didn't because it doesn't
work with Talks.

If I have problems with the N85, I will be going back to them and getting
them to finish the contract early.

I can then at least start over with another company.

Although, I have to say that in many other respects, Vodafone have been
very good and they still have the best coverage and services overall in my
humble opinion.

So, yes, saving some of my negotiation ability for if it is needed in the
future perhaps.

      Paul

You are a good negotiator Paul and I took my queue from you re N96. Now
I have not ended up with the same phone as you but that was my choice. I could
have had N85 and retain my contract but I forfitted my contract in favour of
the phone of my choice. they just had to give in re N96 as even Nokia
recognize that phone was not good in the end.

        OK, thanks.

I've reluctantly gone for it even though I'm losing loads of memory.

I understand that the n85 can only take an 8gb memory card, is this the
case?

Don't think it was a great outcome really.

They said I could have had the n97 mini but, it don't work with talks
at the moment.

        OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH I tel ya!!

Hi, can anyone tell me quickly if the n85 works with talks?

Vodafone may be offering it to me as a replacement for my troubled
n96 and I am on the phone to them now.

            Cheers.
