Hi Ali,

Why not just back up everything to the MicroSD card directly from the phone,
then restore it after the reset? No PC need be involved.

N86 is my fave phone at the moment.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve,

No to most of these no gprs, blue tooth is off and 3g is as it always has
been, on the status line it says " network 6 bars, 3g battery 7 bars then it
just drains really quickly ! this is a recent and sudden happening. Just
phoned Orange who suggest re setting the phone by pressing star hash
7370star, so will have to back up all my media on to a pen drive or pc,If I
do this should my sd card be removed during this process? Will I lose all my
apps? They did say Nokia would guarantee the phone for 24 months, I was
surprised when he said I was due a upgrade in 16 days, the question will
then be for what!LOL! Love my N82! Any thoughts?

Hi,

Are you getting a weaker signal than before? This would also drain the
battery. Do you have Bluetooth switched on? 3G? the GPS receiver for some
reason?

All the best

Hi Ali,

My guess is the battery is shot. Just get a replacement battery and you're
good to go.

All the best

Hi!

My N82 is now 10 months old, however it no longer holds a charge for more
than a few hours, there are no applications running and the battery has been
checked and appears fine, anyone else experienced this problem? I do have a
crack on the screen, would this lead to battery depletion? Thought I would
ask if anyone had any ideas what could be going on before I took it back to
Orange. Thanks!

Alistair
