Well, I returned my N79 to Nokia Care to have the WLAN problem fixed. Got it back this morning and guess what? Still got the same problem. Called Nokia and here's a ridiculous one. Nokia don't have access to the repair details carried out by their care team, and the care team don't communicate with end users. I got a letter with the phone telling me to refer to the "Repair paperwork" For details of what they done, but no repair paperwork arrived with the phone. So the very patronising lady at Nokia told me to return it again and tell them exactly what the problem is. Well, this is what I done the first time but when I explained this to her she just insisted I make it more clear. does she mean big bold letters, or draw pictures or what? Ah well. Love this phone but it is still of no use to me with no working WLAN. Guess I'll just have to resend and hope they actually do something to it this time. Sorry for the rant, but just had to get it off my chest. Anyone using a Nokia N79 or similar new handset with WLAN problems I would be greatful for some feedback on how you fixed them.
