How do you get a song on your computer onto your phone as a ringtone? Anyone
wanna give detailed instructions on doing this?

Can I suggest that if the phone can play MP3 ringtones, that you/she
look for an appropriate sound on the internet and copy it in MP3 format
to the phone?  My phone plays one of my favourite songs I copied from a CD!
