Hi Barbara,
Its just about the same. Perhaps only slightly thinner and slightly shorter.

Hi Peter

Talking about YUPPIES, remember in the old days of the first mobile phones
when they used to walk about with these huge bricks clapped to their ears?
Now I feel like that with my big Talks phone and everyone else's seems to be
getting smaller and smaller all the time! So maybe we are retro YUPPIES? Or
the YUPPIES of the new Millennium?

Do you find the 6260 bulky at all? I know it's discontinued, but I might
still be able to get it on upgrade if there are still some available.

Hi Barbara,
The 6260 is a flip type phone. All in all I would say its very responsive,
the volume is sometimes too loud. However the 6260 is a discontinued model.
But I like it nevertheless as you don't have that silly camera flipper to
bother with. I've never had trouble inputting text, either. In fact I never
thought I could get so proficient. I'm very much amazed at these types of
phones. I never in my life thought I'd operate one. Shame though, because
now that I'm a yuppy, the yuppy flu is over and they're now talking about
some silly bird flu. Did I miss the yuppy flu altogether?

Peter, a practically disfunctional Yuppie.

Peter, I think in a previous Email you said you were using Talks with the
Nokia 6260? I was just wondering what it was like? How well it performs? I
have the Nokia 3230 and it works very well. I previously had the Nokia 6630
and I found it quite slow at responding when the keys were pressed. I'm not
sure if the phone itself was slow to respond or if it was just Talks just
being slow at announcing. I also found that if you went quite fast when
texting or other text inputting, the phone froze. This does not happen with
the 3230 which seems to be able to cope better with fast usage. Is the 6260
bulky when using? How is it response wise? And what is the speaker output
like? Trying to find out the best phone for my upgrade because I was
disappointed with the Nokia 6630 which was my first Talks phone and obtained
on the recommendation of another Talks user.

Hi Kawal,
What I was doing wrong was trying to connect via the internet. I registered
via mms and it worked.
Thanks.

Hi Peter,

Have you tried storing the licence from the options menu when you go into
the options menu when you first launch the mini GPS?

It should register automatically.

Kawal.

Hi All.
I have successfully formatted my phone. The reason I did this was because
the mini GPS was unable to uninstall and it kept hanging on me.
Now, on reinstallation I am still being asked to register. I was under the
impression that this was automatic. So, can you tell me how you managed to
register your mini GPS. I use t-mobile and a 6260.
Peter
